We headed out to the Eagle River Nature Center. It looks to be a very busy place in the summer. However, being able to check it out midweek during winter, we only saw 3 people on the trail. All were very friendly. That is something unexpected in Alaska. Most people that we have met that are interested in the outdoors are VERY friendly.“The Eagle River Nature Center is operated by a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide connections to nature education, resource protection and outdoor opportunities. The Nature Center is located within Chugach State Park – one of Alaska’s largest state parks and within 40 minutes driving distance from downtown Anchorage and 12 miles from the town of Eagle River.” Link.
