Waking up late and looking for an excuse to stay awake, we decided to go for a walk. The weather started out
raining as expected and we took off around Howth. There is a well marked trail along the cliffs and it was only crowded closest to the village.
We stopped for lunch at the Summit Inn, an old staple of my time spent in Ireland. Amanda had a pint of Guinness with every meal for the first few days.
We tried to take shortcuts, but all of the doors seemed to be locked. I just wanted to get on the horses behind this wall and have them walk me the rest of the way home.
We crossed a couple of golf courses. The walking in Ireland is very accessible. They are really encouraging getting people out and moving.
A typical muddy Irish walking trail.
Just another beautiful view along the trail.Taking it all in.
